Elsa Chou had graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2010, where she completed her Bachelor of Music degree in Honours Performance. She began her piano studies at the age of 4, and started taking violin lessons at the age of 8 in her home country Taiwan. Upon immigrating to Canada in 2006, she continued her violin lesson with Mr. Terry Liu and Branson Kwan. Elsa also studied violin with Professor Mel Martin during her years at the University of Western Ontario.





Elsa has actively participated in Orchestra, Classical and Contemporary Chamber groups and music competitions. In 2006, she was awarded the first place in the violin solo section in the Kiwanis Music Festival. She also served as concert master of the Toronto Taiwanese Chamber Orchestra for two consecutive years in 2007 and 2008. In 2009, Elsa was invited by the Toronto Taiwanese Chamber Orchestra to perform as a soloist in their 10th anniversary concert at George Weston Hall. After she graduation from University of Western Ontario, she entered New York University, where she currently studies with Professor Stephanie Chase.
